The Physical Education Department at Hayesville offers a well-rounded program for all children in grades K-4. The P.E. program follows the North Carolina Standard Course of Study of Healthful Living. Through the years we have committed ourselves to the total development of the child. Your child or children will experience activities varying from physical fitness development, manipulative skills, rhythm activities, individual skills, gymnastics, and team sports.

Our P.E. program is "one of the few programs" in the state of North Carolina where your child(ren) will receive adequate everyday structured activity. The Physical Education Department has received numerous awards throughout the years.

The program is directed under two certified teachers: Mr. Barry Woody and Miss Heidi Phillips. We set high expectations for our students and challenge each student to do their best each day in our program.
